Job Description

Learning Prep School in Newton, MA is seeking a High School Special Education Math Teacher to join our faculty for the start of the 2026/2027 School Year (beginning 8/24/2026). The role involves teaching geometry, functional math skills, and algebra to students with language‑based learning disabilities and complex learning needs. The successful candidate will use language‑based practices and universal learning supports to help students access curriculum and become engaged learners.

• Plan, teach, and assess high‑school math curriculum for students with special education needs.
• Implement language‑based instruction and universal learning supports.
• Collaborate with speech‑language pathology, occupational therapy, and counseling services.
• Maintain student progress records and comply with licensure requirements.

• Educator’s license in Mathematics 8‑12 and/or Moderate Disabilities 5‑12 (recommended).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred; master’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday 7:30 am‑3:15 pm with occasional after‑school meetings until 4 pm.
