$30-35/hour, salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Boston College Theatre Department is seeking a term-appointed, part-time employee for the  Academic year (end August
-beginning May). Flexible schedule based on the needs of the theatre, most weeks between 12-29 hrs.

• Provide training, supervision and mentorship for student employees and those enrolled in the Scene Construction/Paint Prep Lab.
• Will oversee, in coordination with the Production Manager, the construction and rigging of scenic elements for Theatre Departments productions.
• Provide instruction in building crafts, technical skills and safety practices.
• Manage the procurement and maintenance of all scenery supplies and equipment and should be able to instruct students in a variety of skills in advanced scenery construction in coordination with the Production Manager.
• Any other tasks as given by the Production Manager.

• College degree or equivalent and three to five years of related experience.
• OSHA certification, student shop supervision experience preferred.
