Dearborn Academy is seeking a High School Special Education History Teacher. The department serves students in grades 3-12 who have emotional and/or specific learning disabilities. The position reports to the school’s teaching team and collaborates with clinicians, caregivers, and administration. The teacher will model the academy’s values and work as part of a collaborative, standards-aligned instructional team.

• Curriculum and Instruction:
  Plan and implement individual and group lessons aligned to students  IEPs, Massachusetts State Standards, NGSS, Common Core Standards, and the school curriculum.
• Create routines to develop and practice students’ executive function skills.
• Integrate assistive technology and multi-modal learning into academic instruction in accordance with school goals and student IEPs.
• Provide ongoing assessment of students to determine progress and gather data for quarterly reporting.
• Collaborate with a team to review data and reports to support students in developing academic and social skills.
• Ensure supervision of students at all times.
• Lead weekly community-building circles as part of the school s restorative practice model.

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Master’s Degree in Education or a related field preferred
• License in Moderate Disabilities 5-12 preferred
• License in History preferred
• Experience in a school environment preferred
• Excellent relational skills with students, parents, and providers

• Salary Range: $60,
• Full-time, 10-month position
