Opportunity Overview

Summit Educational Group, a Guidewell Education brand, is immediately hiring caring, expert, part-time In-Person Tutors for SAT, ACT, and SSAT, and ISEE test preparation in Metro West, MA, including the surrounding suburbs to the north, west, and south.

If you are a teacher, a teacher's assistant, or have experience working with middle school or high school students—or have highly transferable skills from a background in Research, Engineering, Law, Consulting, Training, or Instructional Design,we encourage you to apply.

While our tutors work across all grade levels, we are placing a special priority this hiring cycle on tutors who enjoy working with middle school students preparing for the SSAT and ISEE to gain admission to independent schools. Because these students test in the late fall, preparation begins in August/September, with peak tutoring taking place in October and November. You will be fully trained on SSAT/ISEE test prep strategies during your paid onboarding process!

We don't just teach tests- we calmly, caringly, and expertly guide students to build confidence, develop strong study habits, and become better learners for life. Join us in making a meaningful impact!

  • Deliver one-on-one, in-person tutoring for SAT/ACT prep, SSAT/ISEE prep, and/or high school academic subjects.
    • Prioritize middle school SSAT/ISEE students during the peak fall and winter admissions season, with tutoring demand increasing in late summer and peaking from October through January.
  • Travel reliably to students’ homes within a 30-45 minute radius of your location (often between Newton, Wellesley, Lexington)
  • Tailor lesson plans based on students' individual goals, learning styles, and mock test results.
  • Maintain open, clear communication with students, families, and the Summit team.
  • Timely completion of session reports and scheduling updates.

We strongly encourage applicants with:
