About the RoleWe're looking for a talented Field Design & Controls Programmer to join our growing team in the Massachusetts / New England.
You'll work with leading building automation technologies, primarily JCI (Johnson Controls) and Tridium Niagara
, to deliver high‑quality BMS solutions from concept through commissioning.
Candidates with additional experience using AutoCAD or Visio for system documentation and control schematics will stand out. This role is ideal for someone looking not only to deepen their technical expertise but also to grow towards future lead or management positions
.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot BMS/controls systems using JCI or Tridium Niagara N4
- Support system commissioning, testing, and optimisation on-site
- Produce and update control drawings, network diagrams, and project documentation
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure successful delivery
- Provide technical input to system design, project scopes, and architecture
- Adhere to industry standards, best practice, and health & safety requirements
- Hands‑on experience with JCI (FX/Metasys) or Tridium Niagara N4
- Strong understanding of HVAC controls, BMS architecture, and field devices
- Confident in problem‑solving and working independently in the field
- Networking knowledge (BACnet, Modbus, IP networking fundamentals)
- Up to $165,000 salary depending on experience
- Excellent training pathways including JCI, Tridium, networking, and technical certifications
