The Process Engineer supports the development, optimization, and implementation of assembly-level manufacturing processes. This role focuses on improving product quality, manufacturability, and production efficiency while supporting new product introductions and ongoing manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support new product releases by reviewing designs for manufacturability and identifying potential production risks early in the process
- Identify, document, and communicate design-for-manufacturability (DFM) considerations, providing practical recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain build documentation, work instructions, and visual aids to support consistent manufacturing execution
- Interpret and implement engineering change documentation to ensure accurate and timely updates to manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to transition products into production
- Monitor in-process manufacturing issues and provide structured feedback to drive design or process improvements
- Maintain awareness of applicable industry standards and serve as a technical resource during cross-functional discussions
- Ensure customer and program expectations are met through responsive communication and timely execution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, process reliability, and equipment utilization
- Support compliance with electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other manufacturing controls as applicable
- Perform additional duties as required to support operational objectives
Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- High level of organization with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with common business and documentation software tools
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Must meet U.S. person requirements as defined by applicable export control regulations
