Biomedical Engineer, Quality Engineering
Our client, a leading Medical Devices and Healthcare Technology company, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Engineering department supporting New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering teams
. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration abilities, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Newton, MA (On-site)
Pay Range: $55– $69 per hour
- Act as Quality SME for sterile, single-use medical devices including packaging, sterilization, and biocompatibility
- Support risk management activities and develop FMEAs (Use, Design, Process)
- Lead and support design verification and validation activities
- Drive CAPAs, complaint investigations, and nonconformance management
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality and compliance issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Life Sciences
- 5–7 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the medical device industry
- Working knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62366, and MDD/MDR requirements
- Experience with sterile, single-use consumables and packaging development
- Experience with applied statistics and Minitab (or equivalent software)
