ResponsibilitiesAs the Open Pit Mining Engineering Manager, your role will be to design, optimize, and oversee all open-pit mining projects, from the preliminary study phase to production start-up.
Here Are Your Main Responsibilities- Design and optimize open-pit mining projects, ensuring their operational efficiency and profitability;
- Supervise mining engineering from the preliminary study phase to production start-up, including detailed design and on-site monitoring;
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the quality of the projects and the safety of operations;
- Manage the processes for optimizing mineral resource extraction, with a focus on profitability and sustainability;
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure projects run smoothly, respecting timelines and budgets;
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards;
- Continuously monitor technological advancements to improve mining methods and tools;
- Actively contribute to the group's sustainable development strategy by optimizing mineral resources.
- Mastery of open-pit mining techniques;
- Proficiency in modeling tools (Surpac, Whittle, Mine Sched, Datamine);
- Project management skills;
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards and sustainable practices;
- Experience in managing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams;
- Analytical mindset;
- Strategic decision-making;
- Attention to detail;
- Results-oriented.
- Engineering degree in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Over 5 years of experience in open-pit mining engineering, with expertise in managing complex projects.
