Senior Staff Accountant

Paxera Health is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This in-office position requires responsibility for multiple functions within the department, and is an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our global organization by ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in accounting practices.

• Leading month-end close activities: journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
• Consolidating multi-entity and multi-currency financials
• Managing revenue accounting, including deferred revenue and subscription invoicing
• Preparing and reviewing GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensuring accurate balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to improve billing and revenue processes
• Assisting in audit preparation, tax filings, and special projects
• Mentoring junior team members as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Hands‑on Quick Books Online expertise (required)
• Experience in a SaaS or subscription‑based business model
• Familiarity with GAAP and multi‑currency consolidation
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast‑paced environment

• Experience supporting or leading financial audits
• Knowledge of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
• Prior experience working in a startup or scaling company

• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
• Professional demeanor and proactive, solution‑oriented approach
