Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Infection Preventionist to join our team at Mohawk Meadows Rehab and Nursing Center. As a dedicated provider of comprehensive, compassionate, and innovative care, we are committed to delivering exceptional services that address the unique needs of our residents. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of quality care and safety in our facility by implementing effective infection prevention strategies and promoting a culture of infection control excellence.
Responsibilities:- Conduct risk assessments and surveillance to identify and prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs)
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement evidence-based infection prevention strategies
- Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control measures
- Monitor and report on infection rates and trends to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive infection prevention and control program, including auditing and surveillance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce HAIs
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and accreditation organizations
- Current licensure as a RN/LPN in the state of New Jersey
- Minimum 1 year of experience in infection prevention and control or related field
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control principles and practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
