Studio HPDC's impact model focuses on development of new approaches to training, certification and career pathways in high-performance building with a vision of widely distributing learning and professional opportunities to make careers in sustainable building trades accessible at the scale needed to decarbonize our homes, schools, businesses and communities.

The

Program Manager Role

The Program Manager will have day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of Studio HPDC's High-Performance Building courses, targeting mid-career builders in Eastern Massachusetts. High-Performance Building for Carpenters is Studio HPDC's flagship course, for experienced builders and carpenters, and is at the heart of Studio HPDC's mission and values. In January 2026, Studio HPDC began additional course development work to increase its ability to recruit and retain facilitators, offer additional courses, and reach larger numbers of mid-career builders.

The Program Manager will be deeply involved in the course development work and will ultimately be responsible for delivering the materials and processes developed.

This role requires a unique combination of skills including program management, data analysis, team-building and facilitation skills, creativity, cultural competency, some technical expertise in sustainable building practices and the ability to manage comprehensive educational programs that align with the organization's mission and goals. The Program Manager reports to the Executive Director. This is a 30-hour per week part-time position. The position does not have any direct reports or supervisory responsibilities, with the possible exception of short-term internship roles as approved by the Executive Director.
