About the Opportunity
  • The Electromechanical Technician / Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting electromechanical systems and subassemblies in accordance with engineering specifications, manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform wiring, cable routing, soldering, crimping, connector installation, and electrical integration activities.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Conduct functional testing, calibration, and verification of assembled products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and test issues using standard diagnostic equipment and procedures.
  • Document assembly activities, test results, and nonconformance findings in accordance with quality system requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate production records including Device History Records (DHRs), travelers, and manufacturing documentation as applicable.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.
  • Assist in developing and updating work instructions and assembly procedures.
  • Support prototype builds, engineering evaluations, and new product introduction activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Manual dexterity required for handling small components and precision assembly tasks.
Job Requirements What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment.
What Sets You Apart
  • Associate's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology
  • 2+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly, electronics manufacturing, medical device manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly documentation.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • IPC certification (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or J-STD-001).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
