Primary PurposeExecute and report on customer and prospect facing email marketing programs covering a portfolio consisting of demand generation, events, newsletters and retention programs. Work closely with various stakeholders to drive campaign performance through innovative marketing strategy as well as email design and copy. Assist in defining company’s audience targeting strategy, testing methodology and measurement of email marketing effectiveness. Assist in the development of tools, processes and frameworks to further best practices and deliver impactful email marketing programs.

Responsible for building new Journeys in a Customer Data Platform (CDP), building segments, understanding the data requirements for use cases, data integrity, data quality and data sources involved to build the specific use cases. The resource should be able to independently configure and manage marketing journeys and campaigns.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week onsite at our headquarters in Newton, MA.Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and optimize marketing automation campaigns across channels including email and SMS, ensuring accuracy in content, audience segmentation, personalization, and deployment.
- Create automated, multi-touch prospect and customer lifecycle programs, including both campaign-based and journey-based experiences.
- Assist with campaign migration from legacy tools and ensure marketing data is structured and usable within Customer Insights.
- Provide recommendations and input on goals, objectives, strategy and email best practices.
- Work within Marketing Services and with the IT team on projects that span marketing technologies and other systems (i.e. Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics)
- Test new fields and other system updates/changes to ensure that the business use cases and requirements are met, includes data validation to ensure that the values in the field are correct
- Stays current on email best practices and marketing technology industry trends to identify opportunities
- Keep Marketing Automation documentation current - including naming conventions, best practices, processes, and procedures.
- Mentor and coach a junior team of marketing automation analysts, providing guidance on best practices, campaign execution, data quality and troubleshooting
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
- In lieu of a degree, an additional 3 years of experience may be considered
- 3 years of experience implementing and managing Marketing Automation programs and technology
- 3 years of experience in Microsoft Customer Insights Journey Platform
- Knowledge of design, build, test, and maintain data segmentations, data integrations and Marketing Journeys and Campaigns
- Experience in Microsoft Power Automate or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience with Sales cloud
- Ability to provide guidance and support on platform usage.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment working with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing projects of varying complexity; time and project management are critical skills.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, motivation, initiative, and creative problem solving.
- Understanding of persona‑based marketing, targeting and segmentation.
- Ability to think strategically while also able to “roll up your sleeves” and do the hands‑on work necessary to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of test and learn practices a plus (such as A/B Testing, Multivariate Testing, etc.)
- Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to, and drive change.
- Collaboration with both onshore and offshore development teams.
- Marketing Cloud experience along with AMPScript and SQL knowledge is preferred
- HTML and Adobe Photoshop skills a plus.
