- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy for Newton-Wellesley Hospital
- Oversee annual giving, major gifts, gift planning, corporate and foundation relations, special events, donor stewardship, and campaign initiatives
- Lead and develop a high-performing fundraising team
- Cultivate partnerships with hospital leadership, physicians, volunteers, donors, and community stakeholders
- Coordinate shared-services staff with the Managing Director of Salem Hospital
- Set fundraising strategy, drive innovation and growth, manage budgets and operational performance, and use data and metrics for decision-making
- Develop annual operating plans, fundraising forecasts, and budgets
- Oversee fundraising operations, administrative functions, financial reporting, donor stewardship, prospect management, and performance metrics
- Partner with hospital and system leadership to advance philanthropic opportunities supporting clinical care, research, education, capital projects, and strategic growth
- Provide strategic leadership and support to the hospital Board and its committees
- Serve as lead frontline fundraiser managing principal and major gift prospects
- Personally solicit and close significant gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations
- Recruit, develop, and support volunteer leaders and campaign volunteers
- Represent the hospital as its primary philanthropic ambassador in the community
- Strengthen and expand the grateful patient program
- Promote physician and employee engagement in philanthropy
- Evaluate fundraising performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
- Master's Degree in a related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field required
- 5–7 years of experience in a management or leadership role required
- 3–5 years of experience within a healthcare environment preferred
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful fundraising strategies and campaigns
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and fundraising metrics
- Leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor stewardship principles, and ethical fundraising standards
