Summer Camp Nurse

South Shore YMCA - Camp Burgess & Hayward

We are a traditional brother/sister overnight camp located on beautiful Cape Cod, surrounded by 300 acres of woodland and three sparkling fresh water lakes. We are currently seeking awesome new nurses for summer 2025! This position is ideal for a recently graduated nursing student who is seeking their first nursing position after graduation, current school nurses, or those looking for a new working environment this summer.

You will gain pediatric experience while spending the summer on Cape Cod with amazing campers and staff from all around the globe and Camp Directors who genuinely care about the quality of your experience!

We are looking for caring, clever, and highly motivated nurses to start as a Camp Nurse in mid‑June till the end of August (MUST be an RN, NP, LPN or a recent college graduate with a nursing degree as they wait to obtain their licenses. Partial summer positions may also be available. Must be willing to live on site.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, providing basic first aid, maintaining paperwork and records, and ensuring the health & safety of approximately 200 campers & 90 staff. Please note, a local doctor is only five minutes away and Cape Cod Hospital is fifteen minutes away. Ability to work within the health center team of nurses and college age camp staff is a must.

The position dates are approximately June 11th to August 15, 2025. These dates are flexible. Room and board included. Salary is $1,000/week for recent 2025 graduates, higher for those with experience or level of degree. Each nurse will have 3 days of time off for every two weeks of camp.
