Newton‑Wellesley Hospital Mass General Brigham. The RN provides highly professional and technical nursing care, oversees assigned team members, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.
32‑hour days, 3 a‑3 p X2, 3 a‑11:30 a X1. Every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Specialty Areas- Adult GI – 2 years critical care/GI experience, ACLS within first year.
- ARTC – dual practice with BWH/MGH fertility. BSN required, ASRM RN certificate within 1 year.
- Cancer Center – 1 year chemotherapy (single agent/multi‑drug) experience, OCN within first year.
- Cardiovascular Center – 2 years critical care, BLS/ACLS required.
- Device Clinic – 2 years device clinic experience, BCLS/ACLS required.
- ED – 2 years ED experience, ACLS/PALS/CPI within first year.
- ICU – 2 years critical care, ACLS required.
- L&D/AETU – 2 years L&D, NRP within first year.
- Maternal Fetal Medicine – 2 years perinatal experience, BSN, BLS, ACLS preferred.
- Med/Surg – 1 year, telemetry training within first year.
- Mother/Baby – 2 years, NRP within first year.
- OR – 2 years, peri‑operative program preferred, AORN certification preferred.
- PACU/Henderson – 2 years, ACLS/PALS within first year.
- Paediatrics – 2 years, NRP within first year.
- Pedi GI – 2 years, PALS within first year.
- Psychiatry – 2 years, CPI within first month.
- SCN – 2 years, NRP within first year.
- STAT RN – 2 years critical care, ACLS/PALS/CPI within first year.
- Primary Care Triage – 2 years triage/ER/urgent care, ANCC RN‑BC preferred.

Core Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including medication and IV administration, equipment use, and patient education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and coordinate discharge planning.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with standards of care and legal requirements.
- Advocate for patients, communicate effectively, and address conflicts.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and cost‑containment initiatives.
- Respond to emergencies (Code Blue, rapid response) and manage critical care situations.
- Implement infection control, universal precautions, privacy safeguards, and OSHA compliance.
- Enroll, interrogate, and program outpatient pacemaker patients.
- Recognize malfunctions, notify cardiologist, and coordinate follow‑up.
- Educate patients/families and ensure documentation and billing.
- Lead device recall team and manage administrative duties.
- Assist with rapid responses, Code Blue, and critical care admissions/transfers.
- Provide IV access, phlebotomy, and critical care support for ICU‑level patients.
- Assist in transport, supervision, and all other assigned duties in critical care settings.
Education:
Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN – State License) required.
