About This Role

The 8 Hour Pediatrics RN position at Mass General Brigham involves providing professional nursing care to pediatric patients, requiring a commitment to work every other weekend and holiday. This role is ideal for nurses with pediatric experience who are looking for a part-time opportunity.

• Pay: $41.38 - $100.00/Hourly
• Location: Newton, MA
• Facility: Newton-Wellesley Hospital
• Department/Unit: Pediatrics
• Schedule: Part-Time, 8-hour shifts, every other weekend

• Render highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned pediatric patients.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
• Individualize care based on assessments and in collaboration with the patient/family.
• Implement clinical and technical aspects of care and physicians’ orders.
• Evaluate the patient/family responses to established goals and interventions.
• Coordinate and collaborate with appropriate resources and multidisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding device function and clinic follow-up routine.
• Participate in performance improvement activities by evaluating outcomes of patient care.

Education:

• Nursing diploma required;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

• 2 years of Pediatrics experience required.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current RN License in Massachusetts required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS required within the first year of employment.
