Job SummaryThe registered nurse renders advanced, technical nursing care to assigned patients, guiding the use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and evidence‑based practice. Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care, mentorship of team members, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. The STAT Registered Nurse supports the care of unstable and critically ill patients throughout the hospital when census and/or acuity dictate.
The Device Clinic RN performs patient care and technical duties in our outpatient Device Clinic, including interrogation and programming of pacemakers, telephonic follow‑up, and coordination of research studies and clinical trials in cardiac pacing.
- Adult GI – Minimum 2 years Critical Care/GI experience; ACLS required within first year; CCGRN preferred.
- ARTC (Assisted Reproductive Technologies) – BSN required; ASRM RN certificate completion within first year; at least 1 year reproductive‑endocrinology practice.
- Cancer Center – Minimum 1 year chemotherapy administration experience; thorough assessment skills and knowledge of hematology/oncology; OCN or equivalent certification required, 3 years ambulatory oncology nursing preferred.
- Cardiovascular Center – Minimum 2 years Critical Care experience;
Cardiac ICU/CCU/Cath‑lab experience preferred; proficiency in IV catheter insertion and sedation in acute procedural setting; BLS/ACLS required. - Device Clinic – Minimum 2 years device‑clinic experience with pacemaker programming and follow‑up;
Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required; HRS/NASP certification preferred. - Emergency Department (ED) – Minimum 2 years ED experience; ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required within first year; CEN/CCRN preferred.
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Minimum 2 years Critical Care experience; ACLS required within first year.
- Labor & Delivery / AETU – Minimum 2 years L&D experience; NRP required within first year; experience with fetal monitoring preferred.
- Maternal Fetal Medicine – Minimum 2 years perinatal experience; BSN required; BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) – Minimum 1 year Med/Surg experience; telemetry training required within first year; experience with NRP preferred.
- Mother/Baby – Minimum 2 years experience; NRP required within first year; fetal monitoring experience preferred.
- Operating Room (OR) – Minimum 2 years OR experience;
Peri‑operative Nursing Program completion preferred; AORN certification preferred. - PACU/Henderson – Minimum 2 years critical care/PACU experience; ACP/CAPA certification preferred; ACLS and PALS required within first year.
- Pediatrics – Minimum 2 years experience; NRP required within first year; PALS required within first month if cross‑trained.
- Pedi GI – Minimum 2 years experience; PALS required within first year.
- Psychiatry – Minimum 2 years experience; CPI required within first month.
- Scenic/NP (SCN) – Minimum 2 years experience; NRP required within first year.
- STAT RN – Minimum 2 years Critical Care/Emergency nursing experience; ACLS, PALS, and CPI required within first year.
- Primary Care Triage RN – Minimum 2 years triage, ER, urgent care, or outpatient experience; ANCC RN‑BC preferred.
- Promote a cooperative work environment through communication skills, teamwork, and interpersonal relationships.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and hospital standards.
- Provide evidence‑based, patient‑centered care using the nursing process.
- Comprehensively assess patients across physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, and social domains.
