Job Summary

Clinical care in the Cardiac Rehab program requires management of patients in the rehabilitation phase of their recovery from cardiac events or diseases which include, MI, PCI, valve surgery, CABG, heart failure, heart transplant, angina, and other complex varieties of heart disease. The program consists of monitored exercise, strength, yoga, meditation, and educational presentations. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry and vital signs during exercise, group patient education, completing individualized treatment plans, physical assessment, and evaluations of patients.

Must quickly interpret telemetry rhythms, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and respond quickly to acute events. Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department.

Licenses and Credentials

Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required

Experience

Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting/specialty area. required

Qualifications:

Current MA RN license required

BSN required

Minimum of 5 years nursing experience required

Cardiac telemetry experience required

Previous ED or critical care experience required

BLS & ACLS required

Previous cardiac rehab experience preferred
