About This Role

The Med/Surg Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.

• Pay: $41.38 - $100.00/Hourly
• Location: Newton, MA
• Facility: Newton-Wellesley Hospital
• Department/Unit: Med/Surg
• Schedule: Part-Time, Rotating

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Oversee other assigned team members.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care.
• Assess patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
• Individualize care based on patient assessments and collaboration with families.
• Implement clinical and technical aspects of care and physicians’ orders.
• Evaluate patient responses to established goals and revise care plans accordingly.
• Coordinate discharge plans with appropriate resources and team members.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.

• Education: BSN required
• Experience: 1 year Med/Surg experience required

• Current MA RN license required
• BLS required prior to hire
• ACLS preferred
