About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Cardiac Rehab provides professional nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac events. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are skilled in telemetry and patient education within a rehabilitation setting.

• Location: Newton, MA
• Facility: Newton-Wellesley Hospital
• Schedule: Per Diem

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Monitor telemetry and vital signs during exercise sessions.
• Conduct group patient education and complete individualized treatment plans.
• Perform physical assessments and evaluations of patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care.
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to adverse events.
• Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Ensure quality of nursing practice through participation in performance improvement activities.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely.
• Coordinate and collaborate with team members for comprehensive discharge planning.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required

• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Previous ED or critical care experience required
• Previous cardiac rehab experience preferred

• Current MA RN license required
• BLS & ACLS required
