Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the Special Care Nursery at Mass General Brigham provides highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality care. This role is ideal for nurses with experience in critical care and a passion for working with vulnerable populations.

• Render highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Support the care of unstable and critically ill patients throughout the Hospital.
• Perform a variety of patient care and technical duties in the outpatient Device Clinic.
• Educate patients and families regarding device function and clinic follow-up routine.
• Ensure timely and proper documentation and billing.
• Assist with rapid responses and Code Blue on inpatient units.
• Coordinate and collaborate with appropriate resources and multidisciplinary team members.
• Engage patient/family/significant others as partners in caring.

Education
:

• Nursing diploma required; BSN preferred.

Experience
:

• 2 years of critical care experience required.

Licenses & Certifications
:

• Current RN License in Massachusetts required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
