Senior Account Executive – New England Region, Motorola Solutions

Job Overview

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for selling Motorola Solutions public safety communications, video, and software technology solutions to city, county, and state agencies within the New England region. The role focuses on strategic account planning, relationship management, and driving revenue across the full portfolio of Motorola products, software, and services.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan for each target account and/or geography covering the full portfolio of Motorola products, software, and services.
  • Assemble and coordinate a diverse team of internal and external sales resources to assess customers' needs and address their requirements.
  • Proactively develop large project opportunities encompassing a wide range of products, software, and services.
  • Engage and lead channel partners in selling Motorola Solutions products, software, and services to appropriate buying centers.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers within and outside public safety (Sheriff, Mayor, CIO, Police Chief, Fire Chief, and other officials) to understand and influence technology and funding priorities.
  • Develop procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across an entire target account.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety, or military experience OR 8+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Strong self‑starter with a proven ability to identify and create sales opportunities.
  • Rapid learner of product characteristics, capable of communicating value effectively to customers.
  • Experience leading a diverse group to address customer requirements.
  • High‑tech solutions sales experience, preferably within PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points).
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices (a plus).
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or a similar CRM (preferred).
Travel & Location
  • Preferred candidates will reside in Massachusetts, Vermont, or New Hampshire.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Compensation
  • Target base salary range: $110,000 – $115,000 USD (variable based on experience).
