Overview
As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will use industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and promote the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset while striving to deliver the highest quality to customers.
Responsibilities- Learn to repair vehicle glass in the classroom and hands‑on, focusing on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Repair chips, cracks and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
- Clean customer vehicles during wait or idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicles and the shop.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly base pay starting at $20.25.
- Paid training and all the tools and resources needed to be successful.
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent.
- Valid state‑issued driver's license (and any other licenses required by law).
- Completion of Safelite Safe Tech certification through on‑the‑job training.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and assist with windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools and safe use of chemicals.
- Ability to operate motor vehicles in compliance with laws, subject to camera and video monitoring.
- Strong customer service and communication skills in English.
- Ability to work scheduled days, with flexibility on start and end times, and outside in varying weather.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Willingness to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure.
This position involves driving duties monitored through cameras, GPS and other tracking technologies.
