Job Summary

Position:
Maintenance Engineer (Maintenance Person) at Boston Marriott Newton, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality.

Location:

Newton, Massachusetts (Boston Marriott Newton) – a 430‑room hotel.

We are seeking an experienced maintenance professional with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry to maintain building and facility systems, perform repairs, and support the preventative maintenance program.

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct electrical repairs on appliances, wiring, HVAC components, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Address repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and related finishes.
• Maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and miscellaneous machinery.
• Keep accurate logs and submit required reports to supervisors in a timely manner.

• Previous experience in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Proficiency in household repairs—including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related trades.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, welcoming personality.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical capability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Hourly rate: $25.00 - $26.00.
