Software Test Engineer

Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm

Assignment Duration: ~1 year starting ASAP

Our client is seeking two Software Test Engineers with hands‑on experience using Linux and Python to support a long‑term testing initiative. This role is ideal for technically curious professionals who thrive in lab‑based environments

• Experience as a Software Test Engineer
  , QA Engineer
  , or similar technical role
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces
• Proficiency running and interpreting Python scripts
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Comfort working on‑site in a hands‑on, equipment‑focused environment
• Ability to collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams

• Execute Python scripts and Linux commands using terminal‑based applications
• Perform software and firmware testing on equipment under test
• Accurately record pass/fail test results and maintain detailed documentation
• Support testing activities in both laboratory environments and onboard trains
• Assist with troubleshooting software and firmware issues under the guidance of the software engineering team
• Follow established testing protocols, safety standards, and quality procedures
