Nursing Assistant, Per Diem Nights Med Surg, Newton Medical Center

Job Description

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily operating room activities.
• Assists in equipment readiness and placement in the OR, and management of repairs.
• Assists in the set up and turnover between surgeries.
• Transports patients within the facility for surgery.
• Assists in the movement and safe positioning of the patient.
• Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
• Assigned safety checks and documentation of rounds.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Level I - High School Diploma or equivalent. 0‑3 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant, in Patient Care or other related field with demonstrated increased responsibility in the healthcare industry. Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained prior to start date.
