Atlantic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assists (RNFA) at Newton Medical Center
. We are seeking per diem candidates (can be a new grad RNFA) who would like to be on‑call (can be at home—within 30 minutes of hospital or in an on‑call room at the hospital—you choose) one weekend per month—48 hours—and availability for four weekday on‑call shifts per month. • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
• Collaborate with all members of the health‑care team; promote evidence‑based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
• Demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of the job.
• Assist with surgical cases including orthopedics and general surgery.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

• 1 year of previous experience is a plus.
• Qualified to be credentialed by the Medical Staff Office.
• Ability to scrub/assist in all specialties as assigned.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, push, pull and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must be a team player.

• Graduate of an accredited nurse program; BSN required.
• Valid New Jersey nursing license required.
• BLS/ACLS required.
• Certificate from an accredited RNFA program required.
• CNOR preferred.
