Travel RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab travel position in New Jersey, requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and an active NJ RN license.

Job Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab,

• Schedule is 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7AM-5PM),

• 37.5 hours per week,

• On-call is required for STEMI coverage: 10-12 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekend call rotations (Friday 5PM-Monday 7AM), which are counted within the 10-12 shift total,

• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required,

• EMR:
Epic (experience preferred),

Job Requirements

• Active NJ RN license required (compact license accepted if NJ-equivalent),

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required,

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred,

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible,

• Two professional references required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment across the perioperative continuum, from pre-procedure evaluation through post-procedure care,

• Performs direct patient care activities within the Cath Lab, demonstrating knowledge of emergency equipment and cardiac cath procedures,

• Documents nursing assessments, interventions, patient education, and progress toward outcomes in accordance with facility guidelines,

• Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals including use of two patient identifiers and Universal Protocol,

• Travelers may be assigned to a nearby sister facility on an as-needed basis,

• Travelers are eligible for up to one calendar year on assignment from initial start date; a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment at this facility
