Employment Training Specialist (ETS)

As a Employment Training Specialist at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.

• Identify the individual's interests to facilitate a job/career of choice.
• Identify the individual's skills and talents using functional community based assessments to facilitate a job/career of choice.
• Identify workplace supports that assist the individual with a disability to become employed and/or maintain employment.
• Identify and negotiate customized jobs for individuals with disabilities.
• Address employer concerns about hiring and supervising people with disabilities while maintaining confidentiality of job seekers.
• Use data collection techniques to document effectiveness of workplace supports and guide fading from the job site.
• Provide or facilitate on‑ and off‑the‑job supports to help increase the odds that the individual with a disability becomes successful at work.
• Collect and analyze performance data to assist with decisions about the effectiveness of workplace supports; modify supports and develop new ones as needed.
• Identify and develop natural supports in the workplace.

Starting at $20.92 per hour with increases based on education and experience.

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid non‑provisional driver's license.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic and team‑oriented approach to caring for individuals.
