CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Process Engineer II.

Job Title: Process Engineer II

Location: Newton, NC

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering

Hands-on support to qualify processes and equipment in a high-speed fiber optic cabling plant. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, facilities, IT, operations). Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and present actionable recommendations to improve quality, throughput, and process performance.

• Assist equipment start-up, test setup, data collection, and parameter adjustment
• Support process improvements: defect reduction, process control, throughput optimization, 6-Sigma initiatives
• Identify root causes of manufacturing issues and implement solutions
• Conduct experiments to expand process understanding and support technology deployment
• Lead or support creation of SOPs, job aids, and training documentation
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices

• 3+ years as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
• Proficiency in JMP, Minitab, Power BI; experience with SPC and DoE
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Creative, self-motivated, and capable of influencing cross-functional teams
