Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator II to support onboarding, training, and talent development at a rapidly growing manufacturing site. This role manages the onboarding experience for salaried employees across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT, develops standardized training plans, supports mentorship initiatives, and assists with hiring-related activities. The Training Coordinator II plays a key role in ensuring new hires are effectively onboarded and workforce growth aligns with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Training

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding for salaried employees across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT.
  • Ensure new hires receive required tools, system access, and training resources.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop role-specific onboarding and training plans.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to monitor progress and address onboarding or training gaps.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve standardized training plans and onboarding templates.
  • Track training completion, headcount, and onboarding metrics; provide updates to leadership.
  • Coordinate mentorship and buddy programs to support new hire integration and development.
  • Partner with managers and senior team members to align mentors with new employees.
  • Support initiatives focused on employee development, engagement, and retention.

Hiring Support & Workforce Planning

  • Support hiring and interviewing efforts in partnership with hiring managers and recruiters.
  • Assist with candidate screening, interview coordination, and selection recommendations.
  • Maintain and track the site hiring plan and monitor onboarding readiness and headcount.
  • Serve as a liaison between HR, department leaders, and employees.
  • Maintain accurate onboarding, training, and hiring documentation.
  • Prepare and share reports on onboarding progress, training completion, and staffing metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding and training processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • (relevant experience considered in lieu of degree).
  • 5+ years of experience in onboarding, training coordination, recruitment, or talent development.
  • Strong organizational skills, including tracking headcount and training deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and responsive to changing business needs.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse teams
