Position Overview

The Quoting Specialist is responsible for preparing and managing accurate and competitive quotations for customers based on their requirements. This role involves collaborating with various departments such as sales, procurement, and operations to ensure timely and effective delivery of quotes. The Quoting Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the sales process and contributing to customer satisfaction and company profitability.

This position will be located at Plant 2 for Wanzl North America (WNA) in Newton, NC.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Prepare Accurate Quotes:
  • Analyze customer requirements and specifications to develop detailed and accurate quotes.
  • Utilize pricing models and cost estimation techniques to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Consider factors such as materials, labor, delivery timelines, and other relevant costs in quote preparation.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and tailor quotes accordingly.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain departments to obtain accurate cost information.
  • Liaise with production and operations teams to verify feasibility and delivery schedules.
• Maintain Documentation and Records:
  • Ensure all quotes are documented properly and stored in the company’s database/system.
  • Update and maintain pricing databases and templates regularly.
  • Track and follow up on submitted quotes, updating status as needed.
• Analyze and Review Pricing Strategies:
  • Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve pricing models and quotation processes.
