Primary responsibilities of Industrial Maintenance Technicians are to diagnose problems relating to mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics in everyday operations. Also to troubleshoot production equipment necessary to continue production and maintain a functional work environment.
Responsibilities- Diagnose mechanical issues: machine operating problems, bearings, ball‑screws, covers, belts, etc.; change fixtures, lubricate, adjust parts, maintain gear boxes and drive trains; replace heat treat oven components; detect and repair leaks in air and fluid lines; maintain hydraulic systems; interpret mechanical and hydraulic drawings; replace/rebuild accumulators, air handling units, phosphate piping, waste treatment plumbing systems; depressurize equipment before filter changes; disassemble machinery to diagnose and restore proper working order.
- Electrical maintenance: maintain wiring systems for robots, conveyors, machines, and building lighting; troubleshoot complex control panels, equipment sensors, PLCs, cable problems; use electrical measurement tools such as multimeters; troubleshoot and replace electrical motors; read electrical prints.
- Troubleshoot various equipment: washer heaters, heat exchangers, heat treat ovens, sealing station heating elements, electrical cabinet HVAC systems, cooling towers and chillers, multiline heating elements, building furnace, motor starter heating, welding heat control, laser welder heat exchangers, heating elements on phosphate line.
- Document work in the current work order system, look up parts via machine manual and SAP system, request replacement parts and/or service through a Purchase Requisition in SAP.
- Communicate any Environment, Health, Safety, or Quality issues to the respective manager.
- Work any shift with flexibility.
- High School Diploma with some maintenance training/courses.
- At least 2–5 years in a Maintenance Technician role.
