Overview
- Hands‑on mechanical systems expertise hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gear systems, and conveyors
- Manufacturing equipment installation and debug in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment
- Mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis using blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm; overtime expected based on project phase
What You'll Do- Lead and support equipment installations and debug activities to hit project milestones on time
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical systems pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and more
- Design and implement mechanical solutions to improve equipment capability and manufacturing performance
- Align, test, and calibrate mechanical systems after installation
- Manage spare parts identification and storeroom entry in coordination with suppliers and peer engineers
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to support hands‑on troubleshooting and repair
- Develop and update engineering and operations documentation
- Support training for operations teams on equipment changes and new installs
- Work directly alongside vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and protect scope, timing, and cost
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or a high school diploma backed by significant hands‑on mechanical experience
- 3+ years in new equipment installations within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, drive systems, conveyors
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Mechatronics, Millwright, HVAC, Welding, or relevant industrial certifications
- Experience with CMMS platforms
- Project leadership or milestone management background
- CAD experience
- Vendor and supplier management on‑site or off‑site
- Fully onsite role you'll be on the floor every day
- Project locations span Newton and Hickory, NC
- Overtime and occasional off‑hours coverage required during active project phases
