Position SummarySymbiotic Services is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support a Frame Building operation. This position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, inspecting and staging frames and materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting related warehouse and shipping activities.
The Material Handler will operate material-handling equipment and power tools, assist multiple departments as needed, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with loading and unloading trucks and checking incoming frames against load information.
Promptly report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and quality concerns to management.
Sort and stage frames and other materials in designated areas according to established organizational standards.
Maintain inventory records and assist with monthly inventory counts.
Inspect frames during loading and unloading and report quality issues.
Keep workstations, aisles, staging areas, pallets, and other work areas clean and organized.
Safely operate equipment including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and ladders.
Operate power tools and equipment, including a bandsaw, to cut posts and materials to specified measurements.
Accurately track materials processed, including linear-foot measurements when required.
Assist other departments as needed, particularly Post and Shipping operations.
Support Shipping with truck loading and preparation of materials for delivery.
Follow all established workplace and equipment safety procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge,Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience .
Previous inventory experience.
General computer skills; AS400 experience is a plus.
Experience using power tools such as staple guns, grinders, and sanders.
Knowledge of furniture frame construction is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work a full-time schedule and overtime when required.
Ability to travel between plant locations when necessary.
Ability to work in environments that may be hot or cold and are not climate-controlled.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds .
