Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end and period-end close activities to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring supporting documentation is complete and entries are recorded correctly.
- Compile financial statements and related schedules for internal review and reporting purposes.
- Review general ledger activity, investigate variances, and perform account analysis to maintain accuracy.
- Complete bank and fixed asset reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Produce royalty calculations and reporting, along with additional financial analyses and ad hoc reports as needed.
- Partner with colleagues across departments to gather information, answer questions, and support accounting processes.
- Use accounting systems and spreadsheets to improve efficiency, maintain records, and support ongoing financial operations. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Several years of hands-on accounting experience in a detail-oriented business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take initiative.
- Experience preparing journal entries, financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and confidence working with accounting software;
Microsoft Dynamics experience is an advantage.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, ask thoughtful questions, and understand underlying drivers.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work productively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Team-oriented approach with a willingness to collaborate across functions.
