We are seeking a Residential Construction Project Specialist (Production Support & Documentation) to support the administrative, technical, and information-management side of our high-end residential projects in Bucks County.
This is a full-time, in-person role for someone who understands residential construction, can read plans, manage documentation, support project coordination during production, and help keep the entire team aligned with accurate, up-to-date project information. Remote work is not available for this position.
Position OverviewAs the Residential Construction Project Specialist
, your primary responsibility will be to support the production side of the business by managing project documentation, communication, and information flow throughout active construction.
This role serves as the white-collar support partner to our Production Manager / Project Manager, Steve Shagen
, while also helping ensure our Lead Carpenters and Site Supervisors have the project information they need to execute at a high level in the field.
Unlike many construction companies, Worthington & Shagen operates with a unique system designed specifically for high-end residential work. In this role, you will help maintain the structure behind that system by keeping documentation organized, current, and accessible throughout the life of each project.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, professional, technically minded, and interested in growing into a larger project leadership role over time. As the company grows, this position is intended to develop into a future Project Manager track.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain project documentation during production, ensuring records are complete, current, and well-organized
- Support the Production Manager / Project Manager with administrative and project-related coordination tasks
- Help manage all project information for Lead Carpenters and Site Supervisors so field teams have what they need to execute effectively
- Organize and maintain contracts, selections, specifications, meeting notes, project logs, schedules, and related job documentation
- Draft, track, and manage change orders, ensuring complete documentation, pricing support, and proper approvals
- Document project updates, internal decisions, field communications, and client-facing notes throughout the construction process
- Help maintain project management systems, internal files, and shared records with a high level of accuracy
- Track permit-related and compliance-related documentation as needed
- Support invoicing, budget documentation, and job cost recordkeeping
- Serve as a communication bridge between office leadership, field staff, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Help keep project details, updates, and administrative items organized and flowing smoothly between the office and the field
- Support production workflows so project information is clear, accessible, and aligned across all stakeholders
- Working knowledge of residential construction methods, terminology, and project flow
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings, and construction documents
- Experience in construction project support, production support, project documentation, change order administration, or related project functions
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple details and moving parts simultaneously
