On‑site position. Join our team as a Universal Banker and unlock endless opportunities for personal and professional growth. As a Universal Banker, you will be the face of our bank, delivering world‑class service and building lasting relationships with our valued customers. The primary function of this role is to be the single point of contact for walk‑in customers, fulfilling sales, service, and referral needs for a seamless customer experience.
Key responsibilities include operating a Universal Banker terminal; cross‑selling bank products; processing customer and bank transactions; handling large sums of cash and maintaining assigned limits; cash settlement; and additional support for branch leadership and goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Greet customers with a warm, friendly smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our commitment to exceptional service.
- Provide timely, professional service to expand the customer base through consultative sales techniques and by handling all funds transactions.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries accurately and in compliance with banking regulations.
- Handle large sums of cash, maintain assigned limits, settle cash, and support branch leadership and goals.
- Educate customers on our wide range of banking products and services, helping them make informed decisions.
- Build strong relationships, offering personalized solutions including opening deposit products and selling consumer credit products with an NMLS license.
- Identify cross‑sell opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction and contribute to growth.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge, attending training sessions and workshops.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless integration of services.
- May attend quarterly Job Family meetings at corporate headquarters.
- Adhere to banking regulations, compliance standards, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Embrace continuous improvement, actively seeking feedback to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively resolve all customer issues, taking ownership and accountability.
- Responsible for sales goals, building relationships and selling consumer credit products with an NMLS license. Follow core Firstrust product knowledge.
- Report teller differences daily.
- Assist the Universal Supervisor, verify cash shipments, conduct teller, vault, and ATM audits as needed.
- Comply with all opening and closing procedures.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to learn and sell bank products and services.
- Function in a financial institution/branch environment and utilize standard office equipment.
- Outgoing, proactive with strong listening and verbal communication skills.
- Lifting heavy coin trays and standing or sitting for prolonged periods while using a computer.
- Willingness to travel locally for training or staffing support.

- High School diploma or equivalent. Additional education in finance or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of two years of face‑to‑face customer service experience, preferably in banking or retail with cash handling.
- PC literacy. Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM is a plus.
- Ability to navigate multiple software applications.
- NMLS or Notary is a plus.
- Proficiency in banking software and technology; high accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing preferred.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
