Job Summary
As a Universal Banker, you will be the face of Firstrust Bank, delivering world‑class service and building lasting relationships with customers. The primary function of this role is to be the single point of contact for walk‑in customers, handling sales, service, and referral needs for a seamless experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects exceptional service.
- Provide service to customers in a timely and professional manner, expanding the customer base through consultative sales techniques.
- Process transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries, ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
- Handle large sums of cash, maintain assigned limits, perform cash settlement, and support branch leadership and goals.
- Educate customers on a wide range of banking products and services to help them make informed decisions.
- Build strong relationships, understand unique financial situations, and offer personalized solutions, including opening deposit products and selling consumer credit products with an NMLS license.
- Identify cross‑sell opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction and contribute to the bank's growth.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, product knowledge, and attend training sessions to enhance skills.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Attend quarterly Job Family meetings at corporate headquarters as required.
- Adhere to banking regulations and compliance standards, maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Pursue continuous improvement by seeking feedback and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively resolve customer issues with urgency and accountability.
- Achieve sales goals by expanding the customer base through consultative techniques and sales of consumer credit products with an NMLS license.
- Report teller differences daily.
- Assist the Universal Supervisor, verify cash shipments, and conduct teller, vault, and ATM audits as needed.
- Comply with all opening and closing procedures.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to learn and sell bank products and services.
- Capability to function in a financial institution environment and use standard office equipment.
- Outgoing and proactive with strong listening and verbal communication skills.
- Physical capability to lift heavy coin trays and stand or sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Willingness to travel locally for training or to support staffing needs.

- High School diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of two years of face‑to‑face customer service experience, preferably in banking or retail with cash handling.
- PC literacy and experience with Sales Force or comparable customer relationship management system is a plus.
- Ability to navigate multiple software applications.
- NMLS or Notary is a plus.
- Proficient in banking software and technology, with a high level of accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards preferred.
- Knowledgeable of bank products such as mortgages, auto loans, and home equity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport and establish trust.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent judgment, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and diplomacy.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and effectiveness in a fast‑paced environment.
