Dental Assistant

Position Overview

Dental Associates of CT-Newtown is seeking a highly motivated Full-time Dental Assistant. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and possess the ability to multitask.

• Greet and seat patients
• Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor
• Set up trays as indicated by the day’s charts
• Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance
• Assist chairside using four‑handed dentistry
• Enter treatment plans
• Take x‑rays as needed
• Clean and disinfect operatory after each patient
• Take alginates/pour and trim models
• Package and sterilize instruments
• Keep operatory fully stocked

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Ability to reliably commute to the office location in Newtown, CT

Specific schedule will be discussed – 4 days per week, 1–2 late nights per week, and 2 Saturdays per month.

• Dental office experience
• Dentrix Ascend software experience
• X‑ray and ICE certification

$20‑25 per hour (depending on experience)
