Piano Teacher Position – Suzuki Music School of Newtown, LLC

Suzuki piano training through at least Book 2 is preferred, though qualified piano instructors with a strong interest in Suzuki philosophy are encouraged to apply.

Location: Newtown, Connecticut

Suzuki Music School of Newtown is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated piano teacher to join our growing faculty. We are an established and thriving music school committed to providing high-quality music education in a supportive and nurturing environment.

We welcome applications from both Suzuki-trained piano teachers and experienced traditional piano instructors who are passionate about teaching children and helping students develop a lifelong love of music.

Responsibilities
  • Teach weekly private piano lessons to students of varying ages and levels
  • Maintain regular communication with students and parents
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment
  • Participate in student recitals and school events
  • Support students in developing strong musical and technical foundations
Qualifications
  • Degree in Music, Music Education, Piano Performance, Pedagogy, or related field preferred
  • Suzuki training is highly desirable but not required
  • Prior teaching experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with children and families
  • Reliable, organized, and professional
