Financial Consultant, Risk Manager/Analyst
Newtown Savings Bank is seeking an experienced mortgage and consumer lending professional to join our Loan Origination team as a Retail Lending Business Systems Analyst
. The Retail Lending Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization, and support of the Loan Origination System (LOS) within the Consumer and Residential Lending Department. This role ensures seamless system performance, compliance with regulatory requirements, and user-friendly processes that enhance both employee efficiency and customer experience. The Analyst will collaborate daily with internal teams, external vendors, and consultants to resolve issues, implement improvements, and support new product initiatives that drive the bank’s retail lending strategy.
This is an onsite opportunity at our Corporate office in Newtown, CT. The role has a remote option of one day per week.

- Administer and coordinate the LOS system, reviewing department processes to identify and implement system enhancements.
- Partner with department personnel to streamline workflows, ensuring compliance while improving usability.
- Design and maintain effective user interfaces that support loan product requirements.
- Generate and analyze reports to support business expansion and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with business units to develop LOS capabilities that enable new product initiatives.
- Manage system security, including password administration and system access controls for authorized personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system errors quickly to minimize disruption and protect customer relationships.
- Identify opportunities to streamline retail lending operations and improve customer experience.
- Serve as the primary liaison with software vendors and consultants for service calls, upgrades, and issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Information Technology preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in financial services, with mortgage and consumer lending expertise.
- Strong working knowledge of lender-related technologies, including credit request systems, flood certification tools, decision rules engines, and secondary market requirements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage sensitive data securely and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
