Member Duties
As a National Mental Health Corps Ameri Corps Volunteer, you'll help bring mental health education, awareness, and support directly into the community. Members will play a key role in expanding Mental Health First Aid and other evidence-based mental health initiatives, helping individuals gain the knowledge and skills to recognize mental health challenges and support those around them. Through community outreach, presentations, workshops, and special events, members will work to reduce stigma, promote mental wellness, and connect people with local resources.
Members will collaborate with community organizations, health providers, and local partners to strengthen mental health support systems while gaining hands‑on experience in public health, program development, community engagement, and mental health advocacy. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while helping build healthier, more resilient communities.
