Meter-Service Mechanic-Electric Helper

Position Summary

Storm and routine power line work, including disconnects and reconnects, three‑phase and single‑phase work orders, and learning the installation, testing, removal, repair, and maintenance of electric meters.

• Perform routine disconnect and reconnection tasks.
• Execute three‑phase and single‑phase work orders.
• Learn and support duties related to electric meter installation, testing, removal, repair, and maintenance.
• Participate in storm duty assignments as required.
• Respond to emergency situations and assignments as part of the Emergency Response program.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license.
• Pass the CAST test.
• First consideration will be given to bargaining unit employees with contractual rights to this position.

Salary starts at Step 1 $ 32.65 and progresses in accordance with the union contract.
