** Summary
* * The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for transporting building materials safely and efficiently from company yards or warehouses to customers' job sites and residential properties. The role includes loading and securing materials, operating forklifts and Moffett trucks, and complying with all company safety policies and transportation regulations.##
** Essential Job Functions**###
** Driving & Delivery Responsibilities
*** Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre- and post-trip) to ensure safety compliance.
* Safely operate CDL Class A trucks and deliver materials to customers and job sites, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
* Load, Strap, and Unload materials at destinations using a Moffett forklift or manual handling when necessary.
* Secure materials on trucks using metal straps, tie-downs, or other safety measures.
* Utilize GPS technology to optimize delivery routes while considering weight limits, road conditions, and traffic.
* Ensure deliveries are accurate and documented by taking photos of delivered items and submitting them to dispatch.
* Maintain clear communication with dispatchers regarding delivery timelines, route changes, and job site conditions.
* Report any accidents, vehicle issues, or delays to dispatch or the reporting manager.
* Provide excellent customer service while delivering materials for customers.
* Always represents the company in a professional manner.###
** Material Handling & Yard Support
*** Assist in loading and unloading trucks in company yards or at customer sites.
* Pull materials to build loads, ensuring load accuracy before transportation.
* Operate forklifts and Moffett trucks to transfer materials safely.
* Perform inventory checks and handle physical inventory as needed.###
** Compliance & Safety
*** Follow all federal, state, and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Maintain proper vehicle maintenance logs, including safety inspections and repairs.
* Adhere to company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and vehicle operation standards.
* Pass random drug and alcohol testing as per DOT requirements.##
** Qualifications & Competencies**###

* Education & Experience:

*** High school diploma or equivalent.
* 3+ years of CDL driving experience (Class

A).
* Experience transporting lumber, building materials, and heavy loads preferred.
* Forklift and Moffett operation experience required.
* Pass pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and Human Performance Evaluation.
* Knowledge of construction materials and lumber yards preferred.###
** Requirements, Licensing & Certification:
*** Valid CDL Class A or B license (as required for the position).
* Must be 21 years of age.
* DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one before employment).
* Forklift and Moffett certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
* Must pass background check, drug screening, and physical evaluation.
* Must register with the FMCSA and the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.###
** Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
*** Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. unassisted and move heavier materials with assistance and occasionally lift and move up to 150 lbs. with assistance of another person or assisting moving devices.
* Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, standing, and lifting in various weather conditions.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving forklifts, noise, vibration, and extreme weather conditions.
* Must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
* While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
* Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms is required.##

*** Full-time position, 40+ hours per week with occasional overtime.
