Casual Event Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a Casual Event Supervisor to join our team at one of our conference venues in Cambridge, CB3 9AL
. Please note, this is a casual/zero hour contract.

We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high‑end ethos throughout.

As a Casual Events Supervisor, you will support the Catering Manager and First Supervisor in the successful delivery of events. You will assist with the set‑up, operation and clear‑down of a wide range of functions, ensuring high standards of service throughout. Responsibilities include serving food and beverages, overseeing service delivery, and ensuring events run smoothly and professionally. You will be confident in managing a small team during event operations, including the set‑up and clear‑down of large‑scale dinners, private dinners, conferences and receptions.

The role requires the ability to work independently when necessary, using initiative and sound judgment to maintain service standards and resolve issues effectively.

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high‑pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be customer focused
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
