Brook Street Recruitment is currently working on behalf of our client in Mallusk to recruit a permanent, full-time HGV Mechanic / Technician.
Due to continued business growth and increased demand, our client is seeking proactive and skilled HGV Technicians to join their expanding team.
Previous heavy goods vehicle experience is preferred; however, applications are also welcomed from experienced van, car, or commercial trailer technicians who demonstrate the right attitude and a willingness to broaden their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on vehicles to a high standard
- Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools
- Ensure all warranty procedures are followed during and after repairs
- Maintain workshop facilities, tools, and equipment in a clean, safe, and organised condition
- Complete all service and repair documentation accurately and within required time frames
Criteria
- Qualified to Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- LGV/HGV licence would be advantageous but is not essential
Salary
