Construction Safety Specialist | Niagara Falls, NY

Responsibilities

As a Safety Manager in Niagara Falls NY, you'll lead the charge in building a culture where safety is more than a priority - it's a core value. You'll work closely with project teams to ensure safe work practices, maintain compliance standards, and help drive solutions in a fast-paced industrial construction environment.

Haz Tek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support large-scale industrial installation and construction projects. This position will focus heavily on field presence, onboarding activities, contractor oversight, and partnering with operations teams to maintain a safe and productive jobsite.

Responsibilities

* Oversee all aspects of jobsite safety and OSHA compliance

* Conduct new hire orientations and daily safety interactions

* Perform daily site walks, audits, and inspections

* Support project teams with hazard recognition and problem solving

* Oversee subcontractors and trade contractors

* Assist with implementation of LOTO, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and MEWP safety programs

* Conduct incident investigations and complete required documentation

* Promote a collaborative, team-oriented safety culture across the project

Qualifications

Qualifications

* Minimum 5+ years of construction or industrial safety experience required

* Strong working knowledge of LOTO, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and MEWP operations

* OSHA 500 preferred

* BCSP certification preferred

* Experience supporting large-scale industrial or distribution projects preferred

* Ability to work extended hours and Saturdays as needed

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills required

* Must be comfortable working in a highly active field environment

Project schedule is approximately Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, with Saturday work hours
