Duties The primary purpose of this position is: to provide clinical oversight in the management and execution of nursing care competencies, organizational training, and flying training requirements supporting the aeromedical evacuation (AE) mission within an Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. DUTIES: DUTY 1:
Performs nursing care in the aeromedical environment. Critical Functions as senior medical member of AE crew in performance of aeromedical evacuation missions. DUTY 2:
Provides oversight for AES clinical and administrative programs. Oversees daily squadron level operational clinical programs. DUTY 3:
Oversees AE training programs to ensure assigned personnel are adequately trained in specialty and mission requirements. DUTY 4:
Plans, develops, and administers specialized aircrew training program for aeromedical aircrew members. DUTY 5:
Represents the nursing and aircrew functions to external agencies such as Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Veterans Affairs (VA), state and local emergency management officials along with wing and HQ functional representatives; establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships to further organizational goals. * The position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a security clearance level designated for this position. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education , Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs , Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education , or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
AND LICENSURE:
For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination .In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
